description | Assisted Reproductive Technologies have evolved to become an everyday treatment for infertility. Clinics and laboratories dedicated to the development and cryopreservation of gametes and embryos, are found in all parts of the world, not in just developed countries. This widespread presence of ART clinics has meant that reports of rare natural disasters, or other destructive events upending the normalcy of clinics and hospitals, have increased in frequency. In turn this has provided the opportunity to learn from the experience of others. This presentation will consider how ART clinics worldwide have developed well-thought-out disaster management plans to ensure the continuation of patient care. |
