| description | The current study aimed to adapt the Buss-Perry Aggression Questionnaire to the Brazilian milieu, testing its construct validity. They answered a set of four pencil-paper type measures, among them the Aggression Questionnaire, and demographic asks (e.g., gender, age, and school performance). Results indicated that, although only two factors had been identified in an exploratory factor analysis, a confirmatory factor analysis permitted to corroborate the theoretical structure = 0.71),aof this instrument, composed by four first order factors: anger ( =a = 0.52), and physical aggression (a = 0.62), verbal aggression (ahostility ( = 0.81). Consistently,a0.65), and one second order factor named as aggression ( females scored higher than males in the anger factor. These findings are discussed based on literature that has considered this measure. |
