The role of this institutional body, how this activity served to institutionalize the practice of police violence during the dictatorial period and how it lives up to the present are the points that we address in this article. Finally, we point out aspects of transitional justice that today are fundamental to combat the authoritarian legacies of that time in Brazil. |
