Summary: | Central Europe countries represent 20 to 30% of the oilseed production of the European Union. In the last 10 years, we have seen an increase of oilseed crop areas in those countries (except for Poland), and further increase in production will now come from yield progress. Consumption of oils and meals will also increase to reach the UE-15 standards, so we do not see great change in the self-sufficience of the European Union for the oilseed sector in medium term. |
