This article presents the results of a research aimed at identifying those “absent images” (a subject that critics have up to now ignored), discovering the sources exploited by the author Cabrera Infante, highlighting the discourse strategies underlying their verbal representation and, finally, assessing how the image selection and their representation contribute to shape the vision of cuban history that comes to light from the book. |
