During the Francoist dictatorship the region was perceived as a symbol of the whole Spain
and the purpose of the journey was to contrast foreign and Andalusian culture. After the
political transformation directors focused more on interregional travel. New narrative
models and transformations of scenery emerged, which corresponded with realistic trends
in contemporary cinema. |
