| description | The milk is one of the most important products of Brazilian agriculture, generating jobs and increasing farmers' income. Because of this importance, a study was developed, from January 2018 to December 2019, to evaluate milk production at Empresa Agropecuária Lagoa do Mato LTDA, Fazenda Cablocos, located in the municipality of Olhod’Água das Flores, Alagoas. Milk production of 100 crossbred cows was evaluated. Concentrates such as soy, corn, nutron and calcitic limestone were supplied daily. The cows grazed in paddocks like Voisin and also fed on forage palm and sugarcane bagasse. Milking was carried out in two stages, morning and afternoon. The milking parlor was of the Tandem type and each cow was milked individually. After the containment, the ceilings were washed and then the black-bottomed mug was tested for the diagnosis of clinical mastitis. Subclinical mastitis tests were performed every 15 days. It is concluded in these two years of evaluation, that the average milk production in 2018 was lower than that found in 2019. |
