Post-breeding migration of the Swallow, Hirundo rustica, along the coast of Lazio
We have studied (1995-2006) the autumn migration of the Swallow along the coast of Lazio. The individuals migrate preferably towards SE especially when the winds blow from S and SW at a speed between 10 and 12 km/h. Since 2003 the passages occur about ten days earlier.
