Description
Summary:This article comes from the results of a qualitative phenomenological research with sixteen physical teachers of youth and adults education in two cities in the Vale do Rio dos Sinos in Rio Grande do Sul. The research aimed to identify the perception that the teachers have about students' interest in physics classrooms. Data collection occurred through structured questionnaires for teachers, by performing a Textual Discourse Analysis of the collected material. The results indicated that 69% of the teachers perceived unmotivated and without interest in physics classes students. The majority of the teachers admitted to use the same methodology for the ordinary classes and for the adult education classes, as well as to use the same assessment tools. Those who considered the disinterest of the students attributed to their fatigue and lack of basic mathematics. On the other hand, those who considered the students interested attributed the interest to the contextualized and attractive classes.
