The <inline-formula><math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><semantics><mrow><mn>2</mn><msub><mi>S</mi><mrow><mn>1</mn><mo>/</mo><mn>2</mn></mrow></msub></mrow></semantics></math></inline-formula> and <inline-formula><math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><semantics><mrow><mn>2</mn><msub><mi>P</mi><mrow><mn>1</mn><mo>/</mo><mn>2</mn></mrow></msub></mrow></semantics></math></inline-formula> levels of lithium-7 are coupled with strong laser field and probed by another laser via excitation into a <inline-formula><math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><semantics><mrow><mn>70</mn><mi>S</mi></mrow></semantics></math></inline-formula> Rydberg level. Interactions between Rydberg atoms excited by the probe beam lead to the broadening of the Autler–Townes spectra. At high concentrations of Rydberg atoms, a suppression of the excitation of the Autler–Townes peak at red detuning is observed. |
