description On the basis of summarizing the characteristics of tidal current power generation and power quality analysis methods at home and abroad, this paper comprehensively analyzes the power quality problems existing in tidal current power generation, and Hilbert–Huang transform (HHT) is finally applied to detect and analyze the issues. Using MATLAB to establish the simulation model, and the analysis algorithm of power quality in frequency domain and time domain is focused. The simulation results of single disturbances and some mixed disturbances show that this method has good adaptability to the non-stationary and multi-disturbance characteristics of tidal power generation.
