| description | Mata Najwa is a talkshow program that discusses current issues that occur in Indonesia. One of its episodes was "The Miscarriage of Justice." The research aims at describing Najwa Shihab’s constructed text in the topic. It is a descriptive and qualitative research. The research data were obtained through listening and note taking techniques. The data analysis technique referred to Van Djik's model of Critical Discourse Analysis theory. The results of the research show that, firstly, the macro structure analysis of the interactive dialogue "The Miscarriage of Justice" discussed in outline the case of Baiq Nuril who was became a victim of defamation. Secondly, based on super structure analysis, the dialogue was classified into three parts, namely introduction, content, and conclusion. The introduction was the narration delivered by Shihab to introduce the dialogue, the content was the facts in the form of video recordings and the results of Shihab's interviews with the speakers, and the conclusion was the narration delivered poetically by Shihab to conclude the results of the dialogue and expectations related to the ITE Law. Thirdly, based on the microstructure analysis, it was found that there are several metaphors were used by Shihab. It was used to emphasize the meaning that was on purpose built by Shihab. Furthermore, it was also found that Shihab’s diction was very "sharp". She is very expressive and very firm in expressing opinions or asking questions. |
