With the protection of patrons, connections with influential writers as Costar or Corneille, and regular custom of salons, he build his career practicing almost all genres: drama, fable, gazette, novel. First known for his polemical talent and his role as a witness, he then chooses to develop a serious moral reflection while evolving genres he practiced towards modernity. As he deserves to be given more interest than a minor writer. |
