Summary: | We analyze the origin, formation and current state of the main approaches to address the unity of training and education in educztional science and practice in Russia. We reveal the mechanism of their implementation, as reflected in the works of well-known domestic educators and psychologists in relation to specific stages in the development of society and the inherent economic, political and social conditions. Based on the priorities of preparing graduates for professional psycho-pedagogical activities, and taking into account the content of the competence model of modern specialist, we discuss actual problems of ensuring the uniformity of training and educating of students as a powerful factor of increasing the efficiency of the educational process at the university.
