Imam Abu Abdullah Muhammad bin Ismail Bukhari (194- 256 AH) was the great scholar of third hijri century. He has written many books on Hadith, Fiqh, Asma ul Rijal, and history and on many other subjects. But his book "Saheh ul Bukhari" is the most famous among all of his books. Imam Bukhari has continuously worked hard since sixteen years and has collected more than seven thousands Saheh Ahadith in his book. Muslim Umah accepted it as the most important book after Holy Quran. The importance of "Saheh ul Bukhari" can be analyzed from this fact that Muslim Umah has given much attention to it and interpreted than any other books. Allama Ibn e Hajr Asqalani, Badruddin Aini and Allama Qustalani and others have written the interpretations of this book in many volumes. Dr. Nizamuldin Shamzai has written Ph.D. thesis on the contributions and teachers of Imam Bukhari in University of Sindh, Jamshoro. This paper presents a study on Imam Bukhari's personality, his educational contributions and the importance of his book Saheeh ul Bukhari. This paper will be fruitful for all people generally and for learners of Ahadith especially who know about Imam Bukhari's personality and his contributions in various fields of education and they will get inspiration from Imam Bukhari's contributions.
