Summary:This paper follows six Roman coins, discovered at Oltina (Constanţa county) and Oancea (Galați county). They entered the possession of a school teacher who taught in the two places. He attempted to sell them through his son, a student with the University of Craiova. The police, however, rendered such action futile and, although the coins were delivered by the end of the investigation (during the 80’ies) to the Museum of Oltenia.
