The main purpose of this article is to analyze the role that social capital plays in the job satisfaction of the staff of Cooperative organization of Kermanshah province.
Methods: This is a survey research which utilizes questionnaires to gather its needed data. The research population consists of the entire personnel of Kermanshah province cooperative organization who numbered 878, of which, on the basis of Cochran formula, 270 individuals were selected as the sample. Correlation coefficient and the comparison of means were used to test hypotheses and multiple regressions were used to test the research model.
Results: The findings showed that social capital consisting of social networks, trust, organizational and social participation, and organizational commitment had a positive and significant (R2=0.12) relationship with work satisfaction. Of the components of social capital, trust had the greatest effect and of background factors, gender had the most (R2=0.32) influence, that is, women had higher work satisfaction than men did. |
