RESUMEN
El último tercio del siglo XVIII, en especial los últimos decenios, van a ser testigos de un florecimiento de asociaciones privadas a través de las cuales las minorías ilustradas desean colaborar en la reforma y mejora de las sociedades del momento. En ciertos casos -Francia- también en su revolución siempre que se considere necesario. Algunas de las mujeres integrantes de esas elites van a participar de inquietudes semejantes, aunque tendrán posibilidades de actuación se reducirán a dos en el caso de España. De un lado, los Salones ilustrados, socialmente admitidos, de los que son las anfitrionas, si bien es a los hombres que los frecuentan a los que corresponde el verdadero protagonismo. De otro lado, las Reales Sociedades de Amigos del País, donde tras dura batalla nuestras ilustradas consiguen ser admitidas si bien lo harán formando un grupo propio: las Juntas de Damas de Mérito y Honor.

ABSTRACT
The last third of the 18th century, especially in the final decades, was witness to the flourishing of private associations through which the enlightened minorities collaborated in the reform and helped society. In some cases -France- they also took part in their revolution when it was considered necessary. Some of the women forming those elites had similar concerns and, although they had ways to take action, these were reduced to two in the Spanish case. On the one hand, Salones ilustrados, where they were socially accepted and were hosts but where the main protagonists were men. On the other hand, Reales Sociedades de Amigos del País, where, although they were finally admitted after a hard battle, they would enter forming their own group, las Juntas de Damas de Mérito y Honor.
