Description
Summary:The article devoted to analysis of the influence of nations wealth on indicators of their social development such as the level of public health, education, security, economic freedom, human development etc. Attention is focused on the relationship between the material situation of the population and the quality of its life. The data on the distribution of wealth (understood as financial savings and non-financial assets without debts) of various social groups in developed and developing countries are given. The comparative analysis is carried out on depended on the wealth in a given country various social indicators, as well as in certain social groups. It is noted that in the post-socialist countries estimates of the population wealth are not entirely correct, because of the imperfection of statistics and the underdeveloped land market, that complicates the analysis of the impact of wealth on indicators of country social development.
