Studying the application of multimedia technology in the field of education, constructs the main framework of the informatization construction of Civic and Political Education in colleges and universities. The method of factor analysis is used to derive the number of factors affecting the construction of informationization of civic and political education, and the main construction direction of the informationization of civic and political education is proposed according to the variance explanation rate of the factors. Combined with cluster analysis, we explore the effect of computerized teaching resources on the digitization of Civic and Political Education in colleges and universities. The informationization of Civic and Political Education in colleges and universities is reflected in the two aspects of the development degree and utilization degree of the digital resources of Civic and Political Education in colleges and universities. The results show that informationized teaching resources such as Civics multimedia materials, Civics online courses, various types of CAI courseware, Civics e-books, and other informationized teaching resources are the most frequently developed informationized teaching resources in colleges and universities. 80%, 75%, 60%, and 65% are the development degrees that correspond to each other.
