Summary: | Inflammatory pseudotumors of the liver are rare entities, only few cases being reported so far, pathogenesis of these lesions being scarcely understood. However since now multiple mechanisms have been proposed in order to explain the development of these lesions, the knowledge of their pathogenesis being mandatory in order to further orientate the therapeutic strategy. The current paper is a literature review of the largest studies which aimed to discuss the etiopathogenesis of the inflammatory pseudotumors of the liver. |
