Description
Summary:Abstract: A large part of the village community of Olympos, a village on Karpathos island, lives today in emigration, but its inhabitants are keen on transmitting their identity and its specificities. It is partly the role assigned to the associations which bring them together in their places of exile, in Greece or outside Greece, it is also the role of the radio which allows links on a global scale. This article presents the activities of these associations in Baltimore, Rhodes and Piraeus, and those of the radios broadcasting from Olympos.
