Participants included 186 high school students (95 females and 91 males) from shiraz city selected by multi-stage cluster sampling method. Participants completed family communication patterns scale (Koerner & Fitzpatrik, 2002), resilience scale (Conner & Davidson, 2003), and oxford happiness scale (Hills & Argyle, 2001). The results showed that: (1) there was a significant relationship between family communication patterns, resilience and happiness (2) the dimension of conversation was a positive predictor for the resilience and happiness but the conformity dimension of family communication patterns was a negative predictor for the resilience and happiness (3) the resilience played as a partial mediator between conversation orientation and happiness (4) the resilience was a complete mediator between conformity orientation and happiness. |
