| Summary: | The decade of the 1960s was marked above all by a process of socio-economic transformation, which led to the appearance of new life styles and behavioural patterns in Spanish society. In these circumstances, an opposition movement would emerge and call into question the foundations of the system of social control created by the dictatorship. During this period, the Franco regime brought about a number of serious crises, with a significant increase in social conflict, and a ever closer link between the workers’ and students’ movements and a segment of the Catholic Church, all of whom shared ideals and hopes, as well as suffering repression. | La década de los sesenta estuvo marcada fundamentalmente por la transformación socioeconómica, proceso que trajo como consecuencia que en la sociedad española, se introdujeran nuevas formas de vida y de comportamiento. En esta dinámica tendrá lugar la aparición de un movimiento opositor, que pondrá en cuestión las bases mismas del sistema de control social de la dictadura. Durante este período el régimen franquista engendró importantes procesos de crisis, con un aumento muy significativo de la conflictividad social, estableciéndose una íntima conexión entre el movimiento obrero, universitario y un sector de la iglesia católica que compartirán ideales, esperanzas y también represión. |
