| Summary: | The aim of the article is to study the evolutionary development of the New Urban Agenda (NUA) and analyze the strategic tools of urban development within the existing urban paradigm at the present stage. The global conceptual transformations through the lens of identifying urbanization as an engine for sustainable and comprehensive economic growth and sustainable urban development are analyzed. In the context of providing mutually complementary links between urbanization and economic development, the content components of the system of actions for implementing the NUA aimed at achieving sustainable urban development are systematized. Prospects for further research in this direction are searching for universal tools of strategic urban development within the framework of the provisions of the NUA, as well as analyzing the impact of local factors on the process of implementing the NUA. |
