Summary:PAOK, as Greek football in general, is facing a lack of historicization as a social phenomenon. It is either delegitimized by public discourses or mythologized. The aim of this article is to denaturalize the violence of PAOK supporters and to understand the senses spread by the club in the light of Interwar Thessaloniki historical context. Thus, a social history of a sports club reveals antagonisms and identity building that can still be identified today.
