description This paper aims to study the beliefs about training in a technology company operating in the telecommunication field. The survey-type method used simple random probability sampling and quantitative treatment. Data were obtained by the Scale of Beliefs about Training Systems Development and Education, as shown in Mourão et al. (2012). The scores showed favorable beliefs about training in the organization. The cluster analysis identified four groups and showed that 18.70% (23) of the respondents suggest improvements to the survey of training needs. Multiple linear regression ascertained the dependency relationship among beliefs in training outcomes and processes, the contribution of training to individuals and organizations, and the need for a proper and careful needs identification process. The conclusion recommends further study, but it points out favorably regarding the acceptance of training actions.
