description As per the author's view, at the beginning of the 20th century Serbian publicity was upset by the news of the distress of Serbian people, who had still been under Ottoman Empire. Delfa Ivanić and Nadežda Petrović came to the idea to found femae humanitarian and patriotic society. To the proposal of Branislav Nušić and Ivan Ivanić it had been called 'The Dance of Serbian Sisters'. This paper is thematically dealing with the activity which the Dance undertook upon its foundation. Chronologically it was framed from the appearance of the idea on the foundation until the organization of the first hospital courses on the eve of the First Balkan's War. In addition, the author stresses that the Dance was characterised as a patriotic association of women including the proclaimed aims of national integration. In the period to the First Balkan's War it actively did on humanitarian activities and helped Serbian population in Ottoman Empire. The Dance had organized hospital-related courses during which a lot of Serbian women were taught to treat patients, what was very important for the upcoming times. Finally, it had been issuing its magazine 'Vardar', which followed the activity of the Dance and spread patriotic propaganda among Serbian population.
