Description
Summary:The inn often appears in Spanish Golden Age literature as the setting for action. The dramatic possibilities of the inn did not go unnoticed by Lope de Vega and his followers, and, therefore, it is common to find this dramatic space in the comedies of the Golden Age. It is especially frequent in the subgenre called valiente plays, in which the inn becomes essential for the development of the plot. We analyze especially this dramatic space in three comedies by Antonio Enríquez Gómez belonging to this subgenre.
