This debate first opens the way to the approval of the decree of January 6th 1864 on the abolition of the system of privileges and therefore on the "freedom of theaters". Then, it highlights the economic aspects linked to the theatre management, including some historical controversies such as the deduction on "Poor Laws” from receipts. |
