The Impact of Light Intensity on the Biochemical Compounds of Scenedesmus brevispina
In the present research the impact of white light with intensity of 3000 -5000 Lin( on the growth of Scenedesmus brevispina was studied. This species was exposed to light treatment of 3000, 3500, 4000, 4500 and 5000 Lux, after being sampled and purified. In each single treatment protein, dried weigh...

description | In the present research the impact of white light with intensity of 3000 -5000 Lin( on the growth of Scenedesmus brevispina was studied. This species was exposed to light treatment of 3000, 3500, 4000, 4500 and 5000 Lux, after being sampled and purified. In each single treatment protein, dried weight, chlrophyll, carotenoids and sugar were measured. The obtained results revealed that among the employed treatments, 4500 Lux treatment has had the best effect on increase of sugar, protein, pigments and dried weight in coenobium scale. About the other treatment certain conclusion could not be drawn. For example in 3500 Lux treatment, the lowest impact was observed with respect to chlrophyll, protein and sugar, while carotenoids was effected very little in 3000 Lux treatment...... |
