Description
Summary:In the last decades progressively growing efforts were spent to identify strategies and to develop tools and techniques helpful to design sustainable, resilient, and low energy built environments. Green and high albedo roofs have been proved as effective countermeasures to urban heat islands, but their performance may vary over time and depending on the environmental conditions. Herein, an overview on recent advances about performance assessment of green and cool roofs is presented, after experimental activity and numerical modelling.
