| Summary: | One of the most important environments that people in the community interact with on a daily basis is urban environments that are equipped with devices in proper places for the well-being of people. The quality of the urban environment lies in paying full attention to the qualitative and quantitative aspects of urban elements and their components. In many developed cities around the world, by combining technology and sustainable development indicators, efforts have been made to adapt the city to improve the quality of life of people in the community. In this cross-sectional case study, based on the main purpose of the research, which is to evaluate the role of urban furniture as one of the effective elements in the smart city, 51 volunteer participants completed online questionnaires. The gathered data were analyzed by SPSSWin23. This study highlights the importance of urban intelligence for most age and gender groups. According to our results, proper design for smart urban furniture, with or without the IoT system, may lead to higher degrees of urban sustainability. |
