description | The process is investigated of stratification of a quaternary jewelry alloy within the height of a vertical metal crucible. The concentration distribution of the alloy components near the surface of castings, as well as the features of the structure formation of the solid alloy is studied. It is shown that the distribution of metals in the volume generally corresponds to known data for other metallic melts. A direct correlation of the microhardness to the alloy composition is revealed. |
