Our interest is the conception of language teaching that permeates the scientific discourse that circulated in academia in the mid-1950s. This time window was delimited because it precedes the institutionalization of linguistics as a discipline within academia, as well as being a period in which there is not a prestige of the traditional grammatical knowledge. |
