| description | An experimental study was carried out to determine the costs of freezing artisanally fished Perico (Coryphaena Hippurus) in Peru. A refrigeration chamber was equipped with electrical and temperature sensors to determine the thermal efficiency and thus calculate the costs of freezing the fish. The results indicate that it is possible to freeze and store fish to avoid speculation due to over production and thus improve the selling prices. In this way, it is possible to store the fish until the prices are attractive again so that fishermen sell their product at fair prices and progressively improve their quality of life. |
