Description
Summary:The World Congress on Lung Cancer (WCLC) organized by the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) took place from September 9 to 12, 2023, in Singapore. The findings presented at the congress underline the continuous efforts and advancements in treating lung cancer and other thoracic malignancies. Some of the most pertinent and potentially practice-changing studies are discussed in the current review with a special emphasis on targeted therapy options. These include the benefits of immunotherapy and anti-angiogenic agents in small cell lung cancer (SCLC), the use of antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), as well as the reevaluation of existing treatment strategies in mesothelioma.
