Description
Summary:Te article provides an overview of foreign and domestic literature on the development of complications associated with neuroleptic hyperprolactinaemia in patients with schizophrenia in the course of prolonged antiretroviral therapy with antipsychotics. Most researchers agree that long-term neuroleptic hyperprolactinemia signifcantly impairs the physical health of patients with mental disorders. Timely diagnosis and correction of this side effect of psychopharmacotherapy will signifcantly reduce the risk of complications and improve the social functioning of patients with schizophrenic disorders.
