| Summary: | The purpose of this article is to analyse the innovative vision of the condition of the emigrant proposed by Thuận, a Vietnamese author exiled to France, in her latest novel Thư gửi Mina [Letters to Mina] (2019). After analysing the importance of the concept of mobility in the work, the article restricts the field of study to the emigration during the last years of the Cold War, being most of the characters from former communist countries. In order to develop the theme, the article finally aims to study the reflection advanced by the writer regarding the condition of emigrant by proposing three conceptual categories corresponding to three characters of the novel. |
