description | Since Lena Dominelli and Eileen McLeod published the book, Feminist Social Work (1989/1999), a disciplined reflection door opens, which questions the feminism confinement –as a critical perspective- of the professional practice of social work. This disciplined discussion, is still on an exploring and developing process. On this matter, the intention of the article is to explore on the theoretical reflections of the called feminist ethics and some of the usefulness to exercise profession. Specifically, we propose to approach three critics of the feminist theory towards deontological ethical theories, which derive on three proposals to move forward a situated ethics. From the aspects worked on, we propose to raise some reflections about how we could question the practices of social workers, in order to conceive professional and disciplined emancipated practices, which allow us to question the dichotomies which have characterized modern thinking, including the “user/professional” dichotomy. |
