Summary: | Objective – to show the effectiveness of digital subtraction angiography (DSA) and superselective angiography (SSCA) in patients with glioblastoma multiformis (GBM); to describe peculiarities of vascular architecture and hemodinamics of tumor in certain clinical cases.
Materials and methods. We selected 11 patients for the research with GBM of brain hemisphere. We performed DSA, computer tumography and magnetic resonance imaging in each case. In 4 cases we examined SSCA of tumor locus.
Results. Performing DSA in patients with GBM we obtained a certain information about vascular architecture and hemodinamics of tumor. High sensitivity of the method was shown for this type of pathology.
Conclusions. The information of DSA and SSCA in patients with GBM gives an opportunity to estimate the vascularity of the tumor. These methods may be recommend for using in this type of pathology. |
