Description
Summary:The effect of selenium on Eruca sativa Miller was studied. The flows of electrons in the photosynthetic apparatus and in the respiratory chain were measured in control plants and in plants obtained from selenium treated seeds. The potential and effective quantum yields of photosystem II were unaffected by selenium treatment. The respiratory potential of Eruca sativa, measured by electron transport system (ETS) activity, significantly increased in plants, grown from selenium treated seeds.
