Description
Summary:The article discusses the role of the central nervous system, including mental disorders, in bronchial asthma in children. This problem has been of interest to practicing pediatricians and researchers for a long time, but so far it has not had unambiguous solutions. The authors have a diverse approach to its assessment, leaning towards the modern concept of ‘psychopathological’ or ‘psychological’ diathesis put forward by S.Yu. Tsyrkin. On specific clinical examples, the authors clearly demonstrated the influence of mental disorders on the course of bronchial asthma in children, which, of course, must be taken into account in practical work by pediatric pulmonologists.
