| Summary: | The relevance of the discussed issue is caused by the need to assess the student's quality, affecting their ability to learn and motivation which are important both when entering the university, and assessing the graduates by the employers. The student's quality is one of the parameters determining the position of the University in national and international rankings, along with the level of qualification of the teaching staff, material and technical basis and research orientation of the university. Taking into account the fact that the rating is the huge marketing tool influencing the choice of students and determining the funding of university research activities the issue of deter mining the mechanism of increasing a university competitiveness parameters values is rather relevant. The competitive specialist is not only a graduate who possesses certain knowledge and skills, but a person with certain qualities. The competitiveness of a person should be understood not only as high quality performance, but also the ability to survive and to win the competition. The basic approach to the problem of employment of university graduates is the principle of student-oriented employment, where not only professional, but personal characteristics of the graduate as well relate to the employer's needs. The main aim of the study is to analyze the factors determining qualities of students and to make recommendations for improving the competitiveness of students, based on his/her personal qualities. The methods used in the study: empirical author's researches and method of quality control. The results. The author has developed the model of determining the quality parameter of the students at higher education institution applying the qualimetry method and described its algorithm; has constructed the tree of properties for determining the student's quality of higher education institution; made the recommendations for increasing the competitiveness of students of higher education institution. |
