description A simple model of fixed-speed wind turbine generating system for load flow analysis of an electrical power system is proposed in this paper. The proposed model is derived based on steady-state equivalent circuit of induction generator of the wind turbine generating system. Electric circuit theory (i.e. Kirchhoff and Ohm laws) is then used to obtain the proposed mathematical model. The proposed model has successfully been applied to 9-bus power system. Comparison with other model (PQ model) has also been carried out for validation purpose. Test results confirm that the proposed method is accurate.
