Description
Summary:In the metallurgical industry are several sources for pollutant emissions but the main source is the sintering process. In this paper are analyzed the generation process of persistent organic pollutant emissions (dioxins and furans) mainly from the sintering sector. Also, the emergent techniques that must be apply to prevent or to control emissions of persistent organic pollutants-POPs (the category of substances that includes the dioxins and furans) from iron ores sintering process are presented. These were selected in accordance with best practices that are specifically for the integrated steel works.
