Description
Summary:This article discusses a dialogue experience and co-construction of knowledge between indigenous and non-indigenous women of different ethnical, generational, racial, sexual and class belongings. Based on an ethnographic study, I examine a clipped and unfinished fragment on my own feminist and collaborative research "learning to learn" about the “rape” experiences of Nasa women in northern Cauca, a region of southwestern Colombia. A central argument is that when Nasa women are "struggling" against intra-household and intra-community violence they are not threatening unity, but transforming it.
