The method was carried out with hydrolysis of the products formed by the reaction of PPh3 with metallic lithium, phenyllithium and lithiumdiphenylphosphide. PPh2Si(CH3)3 was obtained by subsequent reaction of the resulting diphenylphosphin with elemental lithium and ClSi(CH3)3.
