In questo intervento ci concentreremo su questo aspetto, a partire dall’analisi di un corpus di testi realizzati da studenti di varia nazionalità, iscritti agli ultimi anni di corso di laurea dell’Università per Stranieri di Siena, allo scopo di individuare pattern ricorrenti, indipendentemente dall’interferenza della madrelingua.
Academic writing and punctuation in Italian L2
The presence of non-Italian-speaking students in Italian universities is pervasive today, thanks to Erasmus, Marco Polo and Turandot programs, as well as neo-Italians from immigrant families and those who enroll directly in our courses. One of the problems they encounter in writing concerns punctuation, which is rarely dealt with in a systematic way. In this paper, we focus on this aspect, starting from the analysis of a corpus of texts written by students of various nationalities, enrolled in the last years of the degree course of the University for Foreigners of Siena, in order to identify recurrent patterns, regardless of the interference of the mother tongue. |
