Summary:The impact of Bolsa Família Program (BFP) along with the distributionofworkincomeandworkday ofBrazilianpoorfamilieswasevaluated using microdata from the 2010 Sample Census of IBGE and the Quantile Treatment Effect estimator proposed by Firpo (2007). Both treatment and control groups were based on families eligible to the Program, but only familiesthat actuallyreceivedthebenefitswereincludedinthetreatment group. Families registered as PBF beneficiaries, when compared to non beneficiary families: a) may work more, less or the same, depending on the quantile of the distribution; and, b) receive less for the work done at all quantiles of the distribution
